About Me

I am an educator who believes learning should be clear, supportive, and grounded in real-world experience. My approach is built on integrity, honest communication, and setting expectations that help students grow with confidence. I want learners to understand not only the content they are studying, but why it matters and how it applies in practice, whether they are in a classroom, a clinical environment, or the cockpit of an aircraft.

I bring a wide range of teaching experience to my students. I am a college professor who develops and teaches accelerated nursing courses, a preceptor who guides new nurses at the bedside, a former hospital nurse educator who supported staff development in high-acuity obstetric units, and a certified flight instructor who trains pilots in demanding real-world flying environments. Across each of these roles, my focus has remained the same: create structure, communicate clearly, and help people build the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed. Whether I am teaching in a classroom, leading a simulation, mentoring a new nurse, or training a student pilot, I bring the same commitment to clarity, professionalism, and meaningful learning.

My teaching philosophy is grounded in integrity, honesty, and clear expectations. I believe students learn best through communication, collaboration, and active engagement with real nursing situations. I create a structured and supportive environment where students understand what is expected of them and why those expectations matter. My goal is to guide future nurses as they build confidence, develop strong professional values, and grow into safe, ethical leaders who communicate clearly and think for themselves.
